What product or service do you offer?
Through my company, Adamsii Sweden, I provide ornithological expertise to businesses. This includes specialised bird species surveys (for example eagle survey before wind energy park construction), general breeding birds surveys, and professional support with bird identification.
Why did you choose to start your own business?
I enjoyed the feeling of being freer and the opportunity to gain practical experience how management is. For as long as I can remember, I have been seeing entrepreneurship as something both inspiring and appealing.
What challenges have you encountered?
Most of all; how to manage time! But also, navigate bureaucracy, accounting and employment regulations.
What are you most proud of so far?
I am proud that I persevered through many challenges during my first two years and successfully reaching several of my goals. And that I have manage to build a profitable business.
How has Student Innovation by LiU supported you?
I had a supportive meeting with a coach in Student Innovation by LIU and been joining a few events where I have meet other entrepreneurs. For me the most valuable have been to get to know other entrepreneurs, which has been helpful both with motivation and with some practical help with accounting.
Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Eskil Friberg, I am 22 years old, and I come from Knivsta south of Uppsala, but moved to Linköping to study Master of Science Industrial Engineering and Management, where I’m in my third year. I recently came back from an exchange semester at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. When I’m not working or studying, I’m a birdwatcher, a cross-country skier, and I enjoy learning new things and travelling.
Are you looking for help or potential co-founders with any specific skills?
At the moment, I don’t look for co-founders. However, if you have some ideas or want to collaborate just send an email to eskil.friberg@gmail.com.
