What product or service do you offer?
A software application that helps municipalities and companies to track building projects by providing CO2 calculations, cost analyses together with an intuitive UI for strategical planning handling excavation masses… using AI 🙂

Why did you choose to start your own business?
Friendships, growth and joy of helping others directly. It is also fun to create new things and get fully rewarded for all the effort you are putting into a business, if you are going to try hard in life anyway.

What challenges have you encountered?
Too many to count, mostly it is regarding communication. Managing other people’s and my own expectations and also one’s own self doubt.

What are you most proud of so far?
For starting and all the growth that comes with it.

How has Student Innovation by LiU supported you?
I have stopped counting this also, too many. Setting up new contacts, providing you relevant information. Emotional support, and place to meet other students who likes the same thing.

Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Hans Birkedal, I am 27 years old and I studied Engineering Physics – International called Yi for short at Linköping University. I met my co-founder Kendal through the East Asian Association at the university. We both studied Japanese as minor and spent one year together in the board of that student association. I am very interested in Humane Technology and AI. Especially how new technology can be utilised to help humans rather than the alternative.
